I recently purchase a card from Katie Leamon which sadly got lost in the post. However, the customer service was fab! They resent and threw in a letter pressed 'K' to apologise. I'm going to frame it in my future kitchen. I love Katie's work, simple designs letter pressed on lovely stock.

Mr Coopers House & Garden - By Simon Rogan

Love the branding for Mr Coopers House & Garden Restaurant within the Midland Hotel, Manchester. The restaurant has been curated by Simon Rogan; local south lakes chef. I love the kaleidoscope effect added to the country garden imagery. It has a utopia like feel;  something people in the city can't usually experience. I feel like the branding by Ahoy really reflects Simon's cooking style and ethos.

Inside BAE Systems - Greg White

Greg White feature in Wired magazine back in February with photographs of the new astute submarine built by BAE systems, which is local to me in Barrow-in-Furness. It's amazing to see inside the huge plain cream buildings that dominate Barrow's skyline. All the different levels remind me of the scene in Monster's Inc where they are skipping from door to door.

Byron - Proper Hamburgers

Byron is a small burger chain that has taken the UK by storm.

What I love about the branding is the inconsistency and 'anti-branding'.

Each store is different, from shop front to menus. It's playful and dynamic.

The Grand Budapest Hotel

I visited Fellinis in Ambleside to watch the new Wes Anderson film, The Grand Budapest Hotel.

It was a great film, very amusing. The colours were amazing; pastel pinks and baby blues. But there was still plenty of Anderson's trademark yellow thrown in for good measure.

I love the 'Mendl's' patisserie packaging. Defiantly worth a watch.

Making Victoria Posh

I've seen this a few times when getting the tram. It's referring to the closure at

Victoria Station. Love the retro styling and I like to think there is an underlying connection between Victoria and Posh Spice...

Go Lakes

On my way to work in Manchester, I spotted an Adshel featuring one of the above adverts.

It looked beautiful amongst the grey city streets; doing it's job well enticing the tourists

to visit. Design and Art Direction by Cactus.
